Peng Liu

Position
  • Laurence H. Baker Endowed Chair
  • Professor, Department of Statistics
Dr. Peng Liu leads research in statistical genetics, bioinformatics, and high-dimensional omics data analysis. Her work focuses on developing innovative statistical methods to extract meaningful insights from complex, high-throughput biological data. As advances in technology enable the simultaneous collection of phenomics, metabolomics, transcriptomics, and microbiome data, Dr. Liu addresses the critical need for statistical approaches that integrate these diverse data types. Through her PSI project, she is building robust statistical frameworks to jointly model large-scale multi-omics datasets, advancing the understanding of complex biological systems and improving phenotype prediction.
