P05: Hinges for Protein Dynamics

Short Title: Hinges for Protein Dynamics
Mentors: Dr. Robert Jernigan, Mike Zimmerman
Description:

The functional motions of many proteins correspond to simple hinges. But, understanding how these function in their atomic details is an unexplored subject. Do some atoms slide over others more readily than others?

The intern is expected to be familiar with computational languages (FORTRAN is preferable). When there is a lack of knowledge, motivation and interest can substitute.
